Step 2《土埆製作》
土漿曬乾成磚，半年方能使用，需要耐心與體力。
Next was to make mud- brick from the “dirt” in the area which was provided by local farmers. To the local earth, rice-straw was added, then water, and then the mixture was poured into framed molds and allowed to dry and harden for six months.

To protect the earth brick, a "coat" of sealing masonry needs to be added. It has been made in advance from natural lime powder, hemp fabric, and water. Preparing this mixture to the right consistency took almost four hours of mixing, stirring and hammering. The mixture is now maintained in four large pots for use as the sealing coat for the structure once it is complete.

A骨架 清新綠竹拈一枝，鑿洞伴隨青飄香，架起輕便既耐用，姿態各自笑不同。
B編牆 竹子剖剖又編編，尺寸厚薄加花樣，有趣樂趣迷死人，遠觀近褻兩相誼。
C抹牆 圖塗抹抹上三層，拋光功夫見真章，防水防火又透氣，全家上下皆安康。

The earth walls now up to standing height will be topped with a traditional bamboo super-structure. This important part of the structure is under construction now in 2011.
The bamboo support structure will then be inter-woven with smaller bamboo. The result will be an earth house wall topped by bamboo wall. Both will then receive the final exterior coat of white lime-based masonry to protect them from the weather.
